Cassius Clay is apparently the man behind Kanye's lofty, eloquent, [a bougie-sounding word] fashion. He is a young stylist headed for his goals in college when Kanye approached him about his style. Honored when Kanye welcomed him aboard his team, Cassius stepped up the name of the game.
Just simply check out Cassius's style; notice that Kanye wears a lot of similar pieces. I'm a little surprised by the pearl sleeves and certain accessories which scream "Liberace," but hey... oh.. feelin' that Hermes watch and that studded sweater, by the way...
Don't any of you do that sometimes, take pictures of your brand new shoes, then post them on Facebook or Twitter? Well that's what Kdia (still trying to figure out what it is she does but I hear that she's in music and she's a CHANEL FREAK) posted of her NEVER-WORN Louis Vuitton boat shoes that came out a few seasons ago and it was created by a collaboration with Kanye West. Check out all the collabos in the pics below.
PETA might as well get on me, too because I'm a HUGE LOVER OF FUR. I declare it to all the world!!! But... I don't get them like crazy, I get them in moderation. I mean.. I have a rabbit/mink blend fur coat, 2 fur hats, and a fur scarf. I think I'm pretty decent.
Kanye had on a very THICK fur coat walking around NYC, now I know those THI-III-IICK ones cost a fortune. It's safe to say that a coat of that magnitude and caliber is above $30,000. MINIMUM. And check out the premium snakeskin bag that he's carrying. No wonder PETA, Pink, and Paul McCartney doesn't like him.
Check out KANYE WEST, ever so fresh, doing his photo shoot exclusively for VOGUE ITALIA, and my post comes with a video of the behind-the-scenes photo shoot. He was seen walking with his friend and personal stylist Cassius Clay, later followed by ballerinas in those really stiff skirts from the music video "Runaway."
His other stylist, Jonathan Pavlick, goes through Kanye's clothes on the rack pointing out Kanye's favorite brands, in which Lanvin and Tom Ford sits on the top tier of favorites. Check out pics and video below.
Well, you already know these artsists MUST put on a show every time they perform; they're SUPERSTARS-- and we are, too.
They were spotted looking cool @ the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas in their very own kind of style-- Kanye dressed down in a denim jacket, T-shirt, and leather pants and Jay-Z donning a tuxedo, RAPPING, like only a very few people can--wait-- I think that's only Jay-Z. There were several other stars there including his wife Beyonce and Diddy, Coldplay, and Forest Whitaker. See more photos:
Like the looks? You can find them just about anywhere; it's easy to obtain and easy on your money too..
Kanye West, again, is in one of my posts. I comment on him often not for his music--my niche is fashion--but for his style sense. It's so cool, he's in another realm in terms of thinking about style, how to make pieces flow and pop, draw attention at the same time. It is simply ART in fashion form. I just like it.
West is wearing a Tom Ford dinner jacket and slippers, Dior Homme wax jeans, and jewelry by Erickson Beamon.
I found his photo shoot on UpscaleHype. Check out some of his pics:
Quick and brief news: I was browsing the Internet and I came across this news source about Kanye West releasing his own fragrance, "so you can smell like him."
Makes you wonder what he smells like. THE OLD SPICE MAN?? I don't know, but anyway...
When I look at all of these celebrities releasing their fragrances, I wonder if they smell exactly like their fragrance (it's not a dumb thought; just plain curiosity) because some of the scents that I have smelled... stinks.
Kanye is presently working with Parlux Fragrances, a limited but renowned fragrance company which makes colognes and perfumes for many celebrities of late. He is also working with LANVIN for a high-end collaboration, which I'm sure will be really nice because West has revitalized the traditional Louis Vuitton with his sneakers, T-shirt, and bag collections (see pic below) .
Wow, seems like Kanye is steadily becoming that "artist," not just of music, but bringing arts and fashion to the masses..
KANYE WEST'S Previous Louis Vuitton Collection/Collaboration:
Rihanna is quite the fashionista besides her music, and I admittedly do follow her and her style a lot. She is plastered in so many fashion magazines, articles, blogs (including mine) and so much more. Her style is so captivating, so right. If she ever wanted to leave the music world, she could easily be recognized as a supermodel. REALLY. She, dressed this way, would also command all of your attention if she was sitting at your table for Thanksgiving *lol*.
Check out her pics. She was also interviewed by Kanye West.
Since this is the Thanksgiving holiday and a little side entertainment may be needed, I wanted to release a couple of couture photos seen on celebs and local people. I found these great photos on quality, up-to-date fashion websites. Enjoy!!
Roberto Cavalli Fur-Lined Detachable Hood Pea Coat worn by Kanye West
There are so many people of style in this world, but I had to make a hard choice as to who should go onto my blog posts. The reason is because THIS WEEKEND, I AM MAKING POSTS OF NOTABLE PEOPLE OF STYLE THIS YEAR. So I just picked a few people, only eight people in the mix--music artists, bloggers, models, etc.-- who really stood out:
Fonzworth Bentley & Kanye West
Benjamin Bixby (Andre 3000) & Rihanna
Joshua Kissi & Travis Gumbs of Street Etiquette
Alicia Keys & Halle Berry
Let's do a brief intro of each, along with pics of them in different outfits:
Fonzworth Bentley, former host of "From Gs to Gents," has an "OMG" contagious style I just can't stop following. The style is always spot-on. I was trying to find more pictures, but Bentley kind of went off the radar for a minute. Did the best though... see the pics and video from GIANT Magazine photo shoot below:
Kanye West
I'm not going to get into the music and all that, just straight-up fashion. Kanye West the so-called "douche bag" has been highlighting fashion blogs, print, media, and fashion shows for years now. He has a penchant for high-end clothes, collaborating with other designers, and showing off without care. His pioneering style goes far beyond just his music, and is copied by fashionistas worldwide; Kanye's style is hott, though. It's otherwordly, another realm of time, a cross between futuristic and Harlem Renaissance times. Take a look at the following pics.
GUYS, HAVE YOU ONCE OR CURRENTLY DRESS LIKE THIS? Odds are your style is straight from Kanye.
That's it for now... next "STYLE REVIEW" will be Benjamin Bixby & Rihanna.
